Sukant Jain

CEO and Founder

As the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Energy Datametrics (EDM), Sukant provides vision and leadership in developing innovative and transformative technologies that have a meaningful impact on energy conservation. Under his leadership EDM has created the leading energy efficiency program management software used by nation’s largest energy companies.

Sukant is a seasoned information technology entrepreneur with 21 years of technology leadership and executive management experience.  Sukant is also the founder and board member of TeenSafe, the leading mobile parental monitoring software and Visionaire, a highly respected incubator and software development firm.

Prior to pursing his entrepreneurial passion, Sukant held key technology management roles in various companies including Ingram Micro, FDIC, Asset Valuation and Marketing, Broadspring, and New Motion.

Sukant earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.

Dan Hurd


As a founder of Energy Datametrics, Dan has been at the forefront of merging mobile technology with efforts to support the energy efficiency industry. Mobilization and automation of business process in key industries has been a focus for over 10 years including all areas of software, hardware and service & support. Dan’s commitment to the environment and a keen desire to make an impact, prompted  he and his partners to pursue the application of their mobile technology expertise to developing solutions to help providers and consumers conserve energy.

Dan has enjoyed a career that is supported by his financial and business acumen and strong depth of technical knowledge. Dan’s experience ranges from military and industrial custom electronics, software replication and distribution, to mobile and enterprise application development solutions. Currently he focuses on the integration of his skills in competencies in the deployment of mobile solutions (including support of the Energy Datametrics platform).

Samir Pandey

Chief Technology Officer

Samir is responsible for architecture, design, and development of Energy Datametrics software products and our long-term technology direction. Under Samir’s leadership, his teams are responsible for delivering the software at the heart of our market leading product platform and application architecture.  Samir leverages his deep understanding of all facets of energy efficiency program design and implementation to create software that is relevant, innovative, efficient, and robust.

Samir has over 12 years of experience in architecting and developing software products with extensive experience in various development platforms and methodologies. Previously, Samir served as VP of Technology for Venture Commerce, a leading eCommerce platform that helped launch eCommerce for major retail brands. Samir’s exceptional track record in building successful software products and technical improvement is based on his belief in quality and expandability.

Samir holds a Master of Science degree in Electronics with emphasis on Physics and a Bachelor of Science in Electronics.

Abhijeet Kulkarni

VP Technical Operations

Abhijeet oversees technical operations, focused on delivery of our software and ensuring our customers receive highest levels of service. He is driven by each opportunity to further deepen the relationships with our clients while supporting the growth of Energy Datametrics (EDM).

With a strong technology pedigree, extensive energy efficiency domain expertise,  and over 17 years’ experience in managing software development, deployment and support Abhijeet has strong expertise in long-term strategic planning. He interacts with the stakeholders to analyze changing business needs and industry trends in order to contentiously innovate and streamline reliable delivery.

Abhijeet earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics from University of Mumbai, and did post-graduation in Industrial Electronics & Automation before specializing in Computer Software Applications.

Ameeta Jain

VP Finance

Ameeta oversees the financial strategy, accounting, and HR functions at Energy Datametrics.  Ameeta has extensive experience in financial operations and management of early stage and established corporations.

Ameeta is also the co-founder and Chief Spokesperson for TeenSafe , the leading child monitoring software for mobile and social media. Ameeta began her career with Toyota/Lexus and spent over 20 years in finance, management, and operating roles for various corporations.  While at Toyota and Lexus, Ameeta was part of the team that established Toyota and Lexus Financial Services operations in various locations in US.

Ameeta holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from California State University Long Beach.

Marty Gleason

Director Business Development

Marty works as EDM’s Director of Business Development, where he leads sales and client engagement. Mr. Gleason has over twenty years of experience building large successful client business relationships that grow both clients through achievement of objectives as well as the company via enabling technology and process in energy markets.

Prior to joining Energy Datametrics in 2012, he was VP Client Development with Caesar Systems and VP of Sales with Mobius Risk Group. Gleason is responsible for bringing on his companies’ largest new client at each of his career stops over the last 20 years.

Mr. Gleason has extensive experience in energy markets from commodities and production to Demand Side Management and Energy Efficiency as well as understanding strategic partnerships and structures to enable success metrics that drive successful projects.

Bill HcHugh


Bill works with EDM as an Advisor with extensive domain experience in energy conservation, building sciences, and sustainability.  Bill has been active in the technology business for over 30 years including work with IBM, Disney, National PTA, Hunstman and Microsoft.

Bill has done extensive research in healthy building and indoor air quality in the construction industry with a focus on healthy buildings, and energy and sustainability. He sat on the National Green Build subcommittee in Washington D.C., and is an active member of the National Association of Home Builders, and Texas Association of Builders. Bill is also a nationally certified Green builder and was the president of Austin Home Builders Remodeling Council for 5 years. He helped build the remodeling association, which became nationally recognized. Bill was an early adaptor of Austin energy certifications and beta development programs.  He holds several national certifications related to sustainable building. Bill’s company has been nationally and locally recognized on countless projects for green building, sustainability and aging in place applications.

Tom Fitzpatrick


Tom works with EDM as an Advisor.  He is an energy efficiency advocate and policy advisor who has led change initiatives in government, non-profit organizations, utility market transformation programs, and private industry. He served as Chief Operating Officer for the Texas Home Energy Rating Organization and led their residential audit project that received RESNET’s 2010 Industry Innovation Award. He is a registered Architect with both policy and practical experience in sustainability and energy efficient construction, and has also served as an energy efficiency specialist at the Energy Systems Laboratory of Texas A&M and held a cooperative appointment as a fellow of the Center for Energy & Environmental Resources at UT Austin.

He has been involved in application of system design principles to quality management, construction and energy issues for over 30 years.  He was a primary technical resource on building energy efficiency in the 2001 Texas legislation adopting a state energy code.  Tom also previously served as Executive Director of Texas A&M’s Clean Air Through Energy Efficiency Conference, Executive Director of the Texas Building Energy Institute, Director of the Office of Facility Planning for Texas’ General Services Commission (where he published the state’s first sustainability guidelines for state buildings in 1993), and as Director of Programming for 3D/International, a private design and management firm based in Houston.
